Realtor® Safety is an important subject in the ever changing world you work in today. Canopy MLS has partnered with vendors that take safety seriously. Agents can enable and send alerts from the palm of their hand through the Supra, ShowingTime and Homesnap apps.
Supra Agent Alert
Agent Alert is a convenient feature that provides agents with peace of mind anywhere they carry their Supra wireless key. With the press of a button, agents have a simple and discreet method to send an alert message to select contacts.
To set up alerts, log in to SupraWEB at supraekey.com:
- Select the “Alert” link
- Check “Enable Service”
- Enter the contact names
- Enter the email address or phone number
- Enter the message
Now you can send alerts discreetly using Supra’s eKEY Alert button or through an Apple Watch® paired with a smartphone using eKEY. Notifications are sent through email or text message and link to a map of the key’s location.
ShowingTime Showing Beacon
To get started with this feature, make sure you have the most updated version of the ShowingTime app (available from your devices app store) and have enabled push notifications and GPS location sharing.
|Open the app and click the “Start Showing Beacon” button in the side menu or under the showing appointment details.|
|Then add the name and phone number and save the preferred contact who will be alerted when you use this feature.|
To Use the Beacon
|Set Showing Beacon Timer-Use this option to set a timer for a specific period of time.|
|Send Showing Beacon Now-Use this option to immediately send a text alert to your preferred contact. To send Showing Beacon now, open Showing Beacon, press and hold down the blue button that reads “Send Showing Beacon Now” for 3 seconds.|
|Your Contact will receive an SMS/text that contains your name, your contact number and your location(if you accessed the beacon from the appointment the address of the listing will also be sent).|
Homesnap Safety Timer
Homesnap’s safety timer is enabled on a property detail when you are within 2,000 feet of the property.
When you are on a property detail, follow these steps to activate the safety timer:
- Select “Set a Safety Timer”
- Enter how long you will be at the property
- Select your contacts from your phone
- Select “Start Safety Timer”
- You can stop the timer or add time as you go
- If the timer expires, a text message will be sent to your emergency contacts
- In case of distress, send a text message to your emergency contacts in one tap
