In December 2011, Prudential Carolinas Realty announced its Third Quarter Prudential Awards, which included a third place residential units award for Bonnie Downey.

Debbie White with Cottingham Chalk Hayes, Realtors® was the wine tasting raffle winner for the Housing Opportunity Foundation’s fundraiser.

RE/MAX Executive has added Danny Edwards, Eric Gay, Paula Jackson and Derek Stabel (RE/MAX Executive At The Lake – Cornelius); Mike Patel (RE/MAX Executive Realty – Fort Mill, S.C.); Julie Baker, Beverly Gish, Thomas Gish and Colleen Hunt (RE/MAX Executive At The Lake – Mooresville); and Dan Callahan, David Graham and David Grdich (RE/MAX Executive Realty – Southpark). In addition, RE/MAX Executive Realty’s Eric Evans was awarded the #1 Sales Associate in the region (North and South Carolina). Finally, in February, RE/MAX Carolinas Region honored its top-producing agents at an awards gala at The Westin Charlotte. Prior to the event, RE/MAX agents volunteered at Levine Children’s Hospitals.

Over the holidays, Lake Norman Realty collected 330 toys for the Toys for Tots program. The firm’s Greer Stamey was named Realtor® of the Year from the Lincoln County Board of Realtors® for the third time. In addition, the firm’s Denver office won “Member of the Year” from the Denver Area Business Association for its significant community service in the Denver area. The firm has also added Rose Cramer, Tracy Frazier, Carol Laney, Audra Lattimore, Adam McCall, Douglas Mumaw, Michelle Nantz, Jen Schafer, Joan Tomasini, Rich Tomasini and David Walker. The top listing associate for the Davidson office and the company was Nancy Hucks. Top sale associates were Mary Lou Haraburd, Cornelius; Eric Taylor, Denver; Ann Scott, Mooresville; and Tom Gregory, Statesville. The top sales associate for the Davidson office and the company was Celeste Colcord. Lake Norman Realty President Abigail Jennings was chosen as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Charlotte by the Mecklenburg Times. On April 22, the firm celebrated Earth Day-Founder’s Day in honor of Lake Norman Realty’s late founder, James Jennings.

Phyllis York Brookshire, senior vice-president, Allen Tate Realtorsâ, was named 2011 Realtor® of the Year by the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors®. At the 2012 Leading Real Estate Companies of the Worldâ (Leading RE) National Conference, Allen Tate Relocation Services received the Crown of Excellence award, an honor for achieving the highest overall performance rankings for outgoing referral production, outgoing sales production and incoming conversion in their category (companies with more than 1,000 Realtors®) in the Charlotte, Triad, Triangle and Upstate, S.C. areas. At the conference, members of the senior leadership team Mark Bardo, Phyllis Brookshire, Susan Larkin and Pat Riley — were featured speakers. The company has also partnered with, which specializes in customer relationship management (CRM) solutions.

Tracey Turner and Jerry O’Keefe have joined HM Properties.

Chuck Childers, owner/broker of the Chuck Childers Realty Group, Inc., has earned the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation.

Mattamy Homes posted one of its best Januarys with 109 new homes sold in five U.S. markets: Orlando, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Phoenix and Minneapolis-St. Paul. The Charlotte division came away from the Homes Builders Association of Charlotte’s (HBAC) annual Major Achievement in Marketing Excellence (MAME) Awards banquet with 10 Gold and Silver awards.

Ryland Homes in Charlotte earned three Gold and three Silver awards at HBAC’s MAME Awards.
