Holiday luncheons offer much to celebrate
Annual events highlight leaders, accomplishments, community involvement of 2011
In December, the 2011 Association/CMLS Holiday Awards Luncheons & Annual Meetings were held in Statesville at the Statesville Civic Center, and in Charlotte at the Charlotte Marriott Executive Park. More than 400 Realtors®, exhibitors and staff joined together the celebrate the holidays and toast the newly crowned Realtor® of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Humanitarian Award winner, and the recipients of the Committee Chair of the Year award and President’s Award.
Foundation events raise year-end funds
As an annual tradition, the association’s Housing Opportunity Foundation held its Silent Auction and Raffle, which featured 126 items that collectively raised more than $7,500. In addition, the foundation’s annual passing of the Santa hats raised another $1,800 for the foundation. Members contributed another $400 specifically to the Realtors® Care Day Giving Tree to support that project. All other dollars raised support the programs and services of the foundation.
Support from community businesses
This year’s Holiday Luncheon featured 23 exhibitors and table sponsors who greeted members with information and goodies. Platinum sponsors Mercedes Homes and Myers Park Mortgage greeted attendees as they entered the event.
